breathing control helps,,,try counting on the inhale such as 1 thousand 1, one thousand 2, one thousand 3, exhale to a count of four..focus on counting this will help with clearing your mind. you want to keep outside thoughts out. you must practice couple of times a day at least when you are not having anxiety.

Breathing exercises don’t always help me either and can make things worse since I’m probably hyperventilating. DEEPLY and SLOWLY could equal MORE PANIC.
You need to balance the CO2/Oxygen exchange in the body. Breathe SLOWLY but not necessarily deeply unless it’s in a paper bag (don’t use plastic!), which seems to help me greatly.

It’s all about belief more than anything else. Deal with that. Find assuring statements and repeat them. Drown out the negative self talk. Don’t try to find ways to make it go away by feeling you need to meet certain requirements like solving the emotional problems you have as a requirement, taking pills, feeling you have to be at home so you can relax etc.Even tho sometimes that’s to hard. Don’t believe it’s real That’s all. I’ve had thousands of them over 20 years. I’m fine!! You will be too.
I tried all the breathing and drugs and mental stuff around to help with my anxiety, which is worse than anyone else’s that I’ve ever met. The one thing that helped me more than most things is chamomile tea but it also puts me to sleep and if I don’t sleep then there’s another attack. I just wish this burden would go away but I know it won’t. It always feels like you’re on a verge of fixing your mind and it never happens. I hate this disorder.

Hi there! Have you tried the breathing excercises when you are not having an attack? My therapist recommended that I practice often, sort of like practicing fire drills before a real fire.
Also, it is important to breathe through your nose, not your mouth. Breating through the mouth can encourage hyperventalation, which can make things worse. Breathe slowly, to the count of four, and try to increase to five, six, and so forth. Don’t give up. Try and I hope this helps.
It really does! Totally agree. It also works much better if you breathe through your nose to regulate air flow. Like you said, it takes practice, like doing fire drills before the actual fire. Also, I’d like to add, fearing future attacks perpetuates the panic even more. Practicing deep breathing, exercise, healthy eating, cognitive therapy, can also help alleviate panic disorder.
I tried everything from drugs,psihoterapeuts. I suffer from panic attacks, anxiety almost 10 ten years. My life sucks, i drink everyday 100-200ml of whisky to fell better… i can’t go to college because im afraid that i will die … the only thing left to my is to wait for the day i will die.
You need so see someone!, Your life can get so much better if you talk to someone pro.
There’s medication for it that sometimes shows good results. If one drug does not work you may try out another one, under good medical supervision and guidence that is! Consult a doctor about it. Maybe try to use less alcohol (also under good medical supervision since you actually use it as a form of medication!). Alcohol can be a trigger for both panic attacks and anxiety as well as depression. It gives a sense of relief for the moment but it may have a rebound afterwards.

i have to take medication when i on my panic attaack? i have medication for that, aprazolam (xanax) but i dnt wanna take it cause its really adicted to that, so i need to learn some excersise fo have control of my panic attack,, someone knows if this have cure?

sorry you feel like that i had really shallow breathing and wacthing and learning breathing techniques and doing them everyday kinda helped me i hope u feel better and find the right things to help u enjoy your long full life
Try a chinese doctor, acupuncture and herbs. They know more than traditional doctors. You can have somo organ energy that is not working good, but lab tests will show everything is ok. Chienese doctors measure the pulses of all organs, not just the heart. Try someplace in chinatown.hope you luck!!!!

Try a chinese doctor. Your liver could be hot, releasing hot wind upwards to the thyroid, and therefore releasing a lot of adrenaline and cortisol. This happens to me, and all lab tests are ok, but 2 different chinese doctors told me the same thing. One 13 years ago, the other 4 years ago. I have tried to cut xanax, but even when herbs work out good, is not enough.Check yourself with an ayurvedic or chinese.You don’t have anything to lose
